Event Description

On Saturday May 3 and Sunday May 4 Maarten and Nadina Schaddelee will open the Maarnada studio and sculpture garden for their 21st annual Spring Art Show. Art appreciators are invited to drop in between 11 am and 4:00 pm to see the art, view where the pieces were made and talk to the artist about the work.

The 2014 spring show is a further exploration of the natural inspiration that surrounds the Maarnada studio, including birds, dolphins, eagles, lilies, shells and leaves. New pieces include touchstones and very small bird sculptures. There are also a variety of heart vessels in the shape of leaves made of green brucite.

The Maarnada Studio and Sculpture Garden is located at 4635 Vantreight Drive. Information about Maarten Schaddelee’s sculptures and a photo gallery are posted at www.maarnada.ca.
