Moths and Locusts return to Logan's in support of their recently released psych-rock epic "Mission Collapse In The Twin Sun Megaverse." And these Nanaimo boys know how to bring it live, as anyone who witnessed their mind-melting set at Quadrapalooza last summer can attest. We hear there's still a few little puddles of gray matter dotting the landscape over there.
Crashing Into Things just put out a new album too, but who cares? It's good though. Actually, it's really good, like, "who the hell are these guys that I've never even heard of yet they made such a good album?" good. And their animated video for "(She Said) I'm Gonna Kill You", up on YouTube now, well... shit. I've seen it, and I still don't believe it.
Island Monster spend most of the year in their Pender Island lair honing their 100% authentic, accept-no-substitutes garage rock (it's what they use to lure their victims, so it HAS to be good). They only come out to feed occasionally, and when they do, it isn't something you want to miss. But you might want to leave a trail of bread crumbs or beer cans or something if they invite you to hang out with them after the show.
And opening the show will be punk performance poet Bruce Butcher, who will prove once again that there's no shame in having no shame. Which is kind of a shame really.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
