JOHNNY WILDKAT, both touring veterans. They did a mini tour w/ PJ HARVEY in

GLENSTRUP
Glenstrup is a Vancouver based trio with a broad, modern rock sound. A collaboration of three musicians with lengthy and diverse musical backgrounds, Glenstrup songs are impressionistic, melancholy, thick with lush chords and the jangle of open strings in strange places. Moments of spaghetti western twang, jazz waltzes, eastern modes, are interspersed through sweeping changes, angular rhythms, big choruses and haunting vocals. You get an impression of 90’s alternative like Radiohead and Bjork, but also the frenzied, organized craziness of Estradasphere, or the lyrical songwriting and odd bridges of the Beatles, all tightly arranged into surprisingly catchy songs. They’re fast and slow, soft and dynamic, aggressive and gentle. A trio of impressively able musicians delivers an energetic and engaging show of this strange and demanding music.

LIO
LIO is a music artist who skillfully blends various types of genres in his live performances as well as his studio recordings. Having sung and played in several alternative rock bands in Mexico he decided to embark on a new solo project that has led him to explore new possibilities for his artistic vision.
His first release, TAURO EP (2007) was recorded in NYC by producing duo GLACIERZ. In late summer of 2008 the CRYSTAL EP, his current second release, was produced and performed by LIO and also co-produced and engineered by Parlange, in beautiful Vancouver, BC. It is the artist's first conceptual album, in which all of the songs and the sonic character of the recordings are greatly inspired by crystal birth and growth, a process otherwise known as crystallization.
