William Preucil, Eric Kim, Arthur Rowe, and the Emily Carr String Quartet
Renowned international piano trio Preucil, Kim, and Rowe returns for a varied program of rarely heard masterpieces. In the first half we will hear violin-cello duos by Gliere, followed by a sonata for cello and piano by Beethoven. After intermission, Victoria’s dynamic Emily Carr String Quartet — Müge Büyükçelen and Cory Balzer, violins; Mieka Michaux, viola; Alasdair Money, cello — returns to the VSMF stage for the first of two 2012 appearances, joining William Preucil and Arthur Rowe for Chausson’s monumental Concerto for Violin, Piano and String Quartet.
