Elyse Portal’s art acknowledges landscape, whether urban or ecologically intact, as a place to engage in dialogue and relationship. Urbeing is an exploration of the quiet moments of reprieve between mind-chatter, where the world speaks. From her conversations with the environment, Portal will produce paintings directly on the walls of the gallery with locally sourced clay.
