Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd from 1:00-5:00
Event Description
"Navigating Multiple Worlds" explores the relationship between stress, resilience and expressions of subjectivity among immigrant youth. Presenting self portraits, images of "belonging", "challenges" "support", and "stress" among other themes, the exhibit will create a space for critical reflection on the experiences of immigrant youth in Victoria.
Starting in September of 2011, this participatory research project, carried out in partnership with the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society, has been working with a youth research team (made up of immigrant youth and a research facilitator). The project has focused on the diverse challenges that face immigrant youth, youth perspectives on ‘stress’ and what they think could be done, to enhance resilience and support for immigrant youth in Victoria.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
