Join the Maritime Museum of BC and Ocean Networks Canada as we take you on a journey into the unknown and vastly unexplored depths of the deep ocean. Witness the progress, from prehistory to modern-day, of diving and how these developments opened up a whole new world of exploration into the depths of the abyss. Also, listen to the recordings of whales captured by Ocean Networks Canada and learn more about this fascinating underwater network of observatories known as VENUS and NEPTUNE Canada.
What Lies Beneath Lecture Series
Delve into the fascinating world of Underwater Exploration with the Maritime Museum of BC’s What Lies Beneath Lecture Series. Every second Wednesday of the month beginning in January, we will be featuring a noted speaker delivering presentations on various topics related to underwater exploration. Each presentation begins at 7pm at the Museum. Doors open at 6:30pm. Cost is $10 – Students and Seniors; $12 – General Admission; Free – MMBC Members and Children 12 & under. We invite you to tour the museum afterwards until 9pm.
