The Perfect Trend
(Alternative-core, Rock)
http://www.myspace.com/perfecttrend
Arguably, nay, most assuredly, NAY, as a matter of public record, the most succesful band to come from Nanaimo in recent memory, The Perfect Trend has worked their way to the forefront of British Columbian music. Playing at both Warped Tour and The Big Easy Music Festival in the summer of 2009 and receiving an invitation to Canadian Music Fest 2010 , The Perfect Trend's music has reached thousands around the country, and they will play for their home town once more.
Funk Vigilante
(Funk, Metal)
http://www.myspace.com/funkvigilante
Funk Vigliante is a 5-piece funk-metal band from Victoria, with heavy guitars, funk beats and fat synth. You saw them last summer at The Big Easy, and have asked for them to come back, so they've come back to support a great cause and impeach your ears.
A Long Way Home
(Pop-Punk, Hardcore)
http://www.myspace.com/alongwayhome
From the gorgeous songs, to the soaring vocals, to the thundering live show, Along Way Home carries on a tradition of great Canadian pop/punk/hardcore bands, and does it well. You saw them with Thursday, Bring Me the Horizon, Four Year Strong, Pierce the Veil and Cancer Bats last year at Taste Of Chaos in Vanouver, and will be amazed again by them this night.
No Operator
(Alternative, Metal)
http://www.myspace.com/nooperator
Emerging in May of 2009, No Operator has been grabbing the locals of Vancouver Island and shaking. Hard. advancing to the final round of the GotPop? Battle Of The Bands, No Operator is too cool for school. But they'll play for a good cause.
Dead Mans Trio
(Pschobilly, Punk)
http://www.myspace.com/deadmanstrio
Nanaimo punk fans remember The Dastardlies, and from their fine crew rolls a wave of 50's rock gone punk. Steal your Dad's hotrod and go for a cruise, Dead Mans's trio is in town.
Apparatus Theory
(Hardcore, Metal, Grindcore)
http://www.myspace.com/apparatustheory
Thrashing screams, gnar shreddage, a wall of metal, and you, will collide if the Apparatus Theory proves to be true. Victorian kings of all that is heavy and fast, they will make you mosh yourself out of comission.
Sound & Science
(Indie, Rock, Pop)
http://www.myspace.com/soundandscience
From Duncan comes the chilling harmonies of S&S. Nanaimo metalheads will remember guitarist Malcom Owen-Flood from Messiahs in Fiction, and everyone from metalheads to your mailman's grandma will remeber Sound and Science's beatufiul compositions.
Christopher Arruda
(Rock, Indie, Soul)
http://www.myspace.com/christopherarruda
The Parachute Opened, and Christopher Arruda landed. Former lead singer of Nanaimo supergroup O.P.! , Crhris Arruda has embarked on his own solo work, and has been stunning audiences Canada wide with his bone chilling and beautiful songs. Bring your empty hearts that they may be refilled.
