Who is Brad Garnsey and why are we raising money for him?
Brad Garnsey is the type of person who would do anything to help not only a friend but also a stranger that was in need of assistance. He is a man who always has a smile on his face and always sees the good in everything. I proudly call him a friend.
Brad Garnsey was severely injured last winter in a skiing accident.
Here is a list of Brads Injuries…
7 broken ribs
Both lungs punctured
Broken clavicle
3 compressed vertebrae
3 bruises & a blood clot on his brain
Broken knee
Severely bruised his entire left side from above his ear, his entire back, and down to his toes
Other numerous lacerations and injuries
He is recovering remarkably but has a long way to go with his rehabilitation. Susan, his partner, has been by his side throughout his ordeal providing the love and care that he has needed.
Brad is a carpenter by trade. Typically there are no long-term benefits available for people in this profession. As a result of his accident he has not been able to work. Not only do he and Susan have to cope with the physical challenges of this upheaval but also the financial.
This benefit is being organized to raise some money and at least offer some financial aid to them.
If you can’t make it to the event, but still want to do something, there is a special fund account has been set-up with TD Canada Trust so that you can make an anonymous donation on his behalf. Please see Wharf Street Web Site for more info.
All proceeds from this event will go to Brad and Susan. DWL
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
