MAMA PULPA - This latin ska-rock band from Mexico City formed in the summer of 1996, when its members first met at a pizza-eating contest (with the first prize being an electric guitar, which none of them won) and they´ve been inseparable since. One day while driving to Tepoztlan, 35 miles south of Mexico City, they passed an unpopulated spot and their car stopped for no apparent reason. Then an intense white light shined from above,and the 4 members of the band were teleported into a spaceship, where they met extraterrestrial beings who shared their civilization's musical knowledge with them. KYLE FURY - Out of the depths of hell or out of sheer boredom come the vocal stylings of Kyle Fury. With influences like Johnny Cash, Mike Ness, Vic Ruggiero & Chris Murray, Kyle Fury strips down the horn madness of The Furios and plays one on one with the audience. Playing songs from the Furios as well as his own original material, Kyle also mixes in well-known cover songs from bands like Sublime, Social Distortion and the Slackers. Kentucky Fried Reggae? Country Styled Ska? Who knows? It's a man, his guitar and one too many beers. How can you go wrong? Dance hombre dance!!!
