2 Sets - 1 Elvis 1 Reid Originals
In honour of the 30th anniversary of Elvis’ untimely demise,
Canadian singer songwriter Reid Jamieson brings you The Presley Sessions. Originally titled ‘For the Colonel, with Love’ this fifties era tribute album was initially recorded it as a birthday gift for his longtime sweetheart/manager CVM (affectionately nicknamed ‘the Colonel’ after Presley’s rambunctious and rather opportunistic manager). True to her namesake, she just couldn’t resist sending it out there to see if someone saluted, which they did, and friends at Banbury Park Records quickly scooped it up as it fit perfectly with their catalogue of retro inspired music. Not to be confused with an impersonator, Reid lends his own compelling voice to this tender tribute, singing songs originally recorded in the late 1950s back when Elvis still had a last name.
