Orbits & Revolutions: Stories of the World is a ground-breaking concert collaboration between two of Vancouver's most innovative music organizations—the NOW Orchestra and the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra (VICO). The concert will feature premieres of works by six Vancouver-based composers: Mark Armanini, Coat Cooke, Moshe Denburg, Pepe Danza, Ron Samworth and Jin Zhang. Celebrating the marriage of improvisation and composition, of east and west, of jazz and world music, the concert will feature the sounds of the Danbau (one-string zither from Vietnam), Zheng (Chinese long zither), the Ud (Arabic lute), and the Santur(Persian hammered dulcimer) weaving together with saxophones, trumpets, flutes, voice and percussion. Orbits & Revolutions: Stories of the World takes all of our narratives, old and new, and places them in our present world, with all its dawning potentials and promising vistas.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
