About

Shea & Jacob

since circa 2014
Shea Peoples (15) and Jacob Sims (16) are a Nanaimo, BC based Acoustic Duo who have been playing music together since 2011 when they formed the post-hardcore alternative band they now call Awoken by Silence. But it’s only been since February that Shea and Jacob have been playing together acoustically. It was a cover of Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud that they posted on Facebook that got them noticed. Since then they have played a couple of gigs at The Bay’s Beauty Events, won a recent Battle of the Bands, Canada Day Celebrations in Port Alberni and have introduced themselves on the Twitter, SoundCloud, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook medias. Two of their original songs Nothing Left to Lose and In Memory Of (Adam Dore) have gained popularity with fans. Although they have not named their duo yet (suggestions welcome) they are becoming known and are looking for more gigs to play and hoping to possibly record a couple of their original songs soon. They are unsigned.
