Summer Chess Festival

Hours: 11am to 1pm

since 2009

This year the Summer Chess Fest will be held in conjunction with Canada Day Celebrations. Two local chess masters will try to out manouevre each other on a giant chess board using people as chess pieces. Starts at 11am at Market Square. Followed by a magic show and more chess games. Free entry. Spectators welcome.

Also join us every Sunday from 12-4:30 (May 29-Sept 4) in CRD Square (Fisgard and Government) for giant chess, casual games, learn to play and more
