L'Orkestre Des Pas Perdus
Montreal ’s L’Orkestre Des Pas Perdus (the Lost Steps Orchestra) is a six-piece brass band that draws on diverse inspirations such as Frank Zappa, Nino Rota and Carla Bley. Innovative and energetic, the O.P.P. combine the joy of circus music with more than a hint of postmodern cabaret: in other words, these talented artists can be ironic and serious at the same time. Formed in 1993 and with 3 CDs to their credit, the O.P.P. are festival favourites who have played all over North America, Europe and Japan. The band consists of Claude St. Jean trombone, Jean-Denis Levasseur alto saxophone, Roberto Murray tenor saxophone, Maxime St. Pierre trumpet, Jean Sabourin sousaphone, and Rémi Leclerc drums.
