Hang the DJ User Info... | Beirut's newest release, "The Flying Club Cup", is a good album, but it just doesn't compare to "Gulag Orkestar". With either Gulag Orkestar or the Lon Gisland EP, there is more of a significant difference between each song. With The Flying Club Cup I find each song has the same sound and there's no one song that really stands out to me. If you haven't listened to Beirut yet, you should. http://www.beirutband.com Music will instantly start to play. You'll probably hear "Postcards from Italy" first. Skip ahead to "Elephant Gun" and then "Mount Wroclai" (after you've listened to postcards from Italy, of course). "Scenic world" comes before that, but it's the version off the Lon Gisland EP which isn't as good as the one on the Gulag Orkestar album. OR http://www.myspace.com/beruit Unfortunately they don't have the same songs posted as they did before. The best song to listen to would be Elephant Gun, and then Nantes... Sunday Smile I don't really like that much. I'd recommend just going to the real website. You might recognize "Postcards from Italy" from a Dove commercial. If you think this music is weird or something, well.. I used to dislike Beirut, and then I left Canada for a bit, and became crazy for this kind of sound. If you can get a hold of the Gulag Orkestar album, I strongly recommend it. It's extremely good! Thanks so much for reading my shitty-ass review. Love, the Deej - Wed, 7 Nov 2007 3:55pm
Hang the DJ User Info... | I listened to the new cd again, and again.. and again.. and now I like it more than I did before. I just needed to get used to the difference. I recommend it. Does anyone here actually like Beirut? No.. - Mon, 19 Nov 2007 10:45pm
