Nik Olaz User Info... | Probably one of the weirdest albums i've heard. Orthrelm is a drum and guitar combo. If you've heard their previous work, it's approached much differently this time around. On OV the duo create a tone versus loop obsession. So, stay away from this record if you like songy-songs. The 45-minute track displays some awkwardly rythmic trancey guitar lines, most often with one main "hook" taking up a large percentage of the time. I can kind of compare it to Sleep's "Dopesmoker", however way less logical, and much more stripped down. If you're a fan of semi-oddball music or just like to smoke pot and listen to repetitive things...give this album a shot! - Thu, 16 Feb 2006 3:05am | ||
