Platoon User Info... | This album has countless riffs, great production, amazing song and album length, and an amazing epic atmosphere to it. I hope this is not the last we here from Immortal, maybe somewhere down the road there will be some more from this band. Sons of Northern Darkness seems as if it only has strengths to me, I do not consider any part of the album weak. - Wed, 11 May 2005 3:36pm
Mutilashawn User Info... | They've broken up long ago. All of their releases are stellar in my opinion. - Wed, 11 May 2005 3:46pm
Platoon User Info... | Indeed. Abbath was playing in some Motorhead cover band for a while. I heard he finally started working on some more metal. - Wed, 11 May 2005 3:58pm
canon.docre User Info... | I hope you're not implying Motorhead aren't metal. The drummer from Immortal moved onto Hypocrisy, did he not? Also, Immortal's true greatness was in their earlier stuff, i.e. Battles in the North or Pure Holocaust. Both of those albums are the perfect blend of chaos and .. more chaos. - Wed, 11 May 2005 4:52pm
Platoon User Info... | Easy there, I couldn't care less about Motorhead. - Wed, 11 May 2005 5:27pm
Mutilashawn User Info... | Horgh did Grimfist for awhile which sucked hardcore and then joined Hypocrisy, I think he's even out of that now (thank christ). And Abbath has done back up vox on Dummy Burger and Enslaved CD's, not sure what else he's doing. But Immortal are a band that are absolutely brilliant in all that they do. - Wed, 11 May 2005 8:07pm
Starry_Wisdom User Info... | Yeah Grimfist has a new drummer.. can't say I cared for that full length they did either.. Horgh's still with Hypocrisy though (and the better for it I think). SoND just never really did it for me, I liked it.. but of their later sound it still pales in comparison to At The Heart Of Winter.. - Sun, 15 May 2005 6:17pm
