| J User Info... | isn't a cover supposed to be an interpretation of someone elses work(s) thus this album is 'their' interpretation of imagine, when the levee breaks etc... I thought it was creative to completely change the melody of imagine... sure you all may say that it sucks and its not even close to what john lennon wrote but that's the whole point isnt it? that's just my interpretation of the ever famous band mistake of making a 'cover album'... can't wait for outkast to hit up some dear prudence... i can hear it now - Sat, 13 Nov 2004 10:45am | ||

| ScottL User Info... | Personally, I like the album, it kind of shows how experimental APC is. Also, even though the songs aren't exact covers, the interpretations/rewrites are still very good. On one of the songs though (Peace Love and Understanding) the vocals are really strange... I can't say 100% they are Maynard, but he is very versatile, so its entirely possible... 2 thumbs up, even if they are wierd covers. - Wed, 24 Nov 2004 10:04pm | ||

| alain User Info... | To answer Scott, I'm pretty sure that Peace Love and Understanding is sung by Billy H. Review wise, I love most of this album sonically, and conceptually, I think they're taking risks, doing things they've never done. Just because the songs may not have been written by them, doesn't mean that they're taking an easy way out and doing the same old. I personally think that I would have a harder time rewriting existing songs than comming up with new ones from scratch, and I think they pulled it off very well. - Wed, 1 Dec 2004 3:59pm | ||

Definite respect for taking risks and not copping out to do a note for note cover but...it's Imagine! You shouldn't F with someone else's art. He could have just as easily conveyed the disgusting state our world is in using his own words. Too bad we can't ask John what he thinks of the song!
