Death Scream Bloody Gore User Info... | All I can say is buy this album when it comes out.. its absolutely incredible. Peter Tagtren took over vocalist duties from Mikael Akerfeldt which surprisingly enough hasn't given the sound a huge difference. Songs like "Outnumbering the Day" and hell.. well all the songs on this album are absolutely jaw-dropping. I can't recommend this album enough, if you enjoyed the earlier material.. well this stuff is even better.. great pure death metal in the old swedish fashion. A+ - Sun, 12 Sep 2004 5:37pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | i've heard a few of the songs off this album. i don't lke it. why? it's because i don't like Peter Tagtren. Bloodbaths earlier material, was yes, much more interesting. - Mon, 13 Sep 2004 12:19am
Mutilashawn User Info... | Hail Mike Akerfeldt!! I'm going to have to agree. I miss him already. - Mon, 13 Sep 2004 8:11am
starry_wisdom_ User Info... | I have to say, I don't agree, Peter's vocals are very simliar to Mikael's on this, and I think the songwriting is wayyyyyy superior on this release. - Mon, 13 Sep 2004 6:59pm
Death Scream Bloody Gore User Info... | As far as the vocals are concerned, I am sorry but I find very little difference between Tagtren and Akerfeldt on this album. It seems that Tagtren was doing a very good job of fitting into the sound of Bloodbath and emulating the style Akerfeldt used previously. I don't see how Tagtren affects this album that much considering it was all written by the core of the established lineup (Jonas, Blakkheim, Swano). I really do feel that they are getting better and stronger as a band as they go along. I quite enjoyed Akerfeldt's vocals as well and highly recommend the older releases as well. - Mon, 13 Sep 2004 8:13pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | check out Katatonia's BRAVE YESTER DAYS - Tue, 14 Sep 2004 11:19am
Starry_Wisdom User Info... | Denise, I love Katatonia but what does that have to do with Bloodbath? Renske and Blakkheim are katatonia yes.. but Akerfeldt only did vocals on Brave Murder Day.. Katatonia is genius imo though, so I am only wondering what you mean by checking out that compilation of Katatonia's harder to find stuff. *Cuuuuuuurious!* - Tue, 14 Sep 2004 6:52pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | holy jesus nothing andrew, I was just mentioning that if you like Bloodbath and the likes they should check it out. FAVORITE Katatonia album now, it's so good. - Tue, 14 Sep 2004 7:22pm
Starry_Wisdom User Info... | I was just wondering! You don't have to get offended, I wasn't attacking you I was just really curious! I thought maybe there was something to your post about that? I still have to pick up Brave Yesterdays, but I am really not in a hurry as I have all the material on there anyways. - Tue, 14 Sep 2004 9:28pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | I am not offended, I don't care. - Wed, 15 Sep 2004 8:58am
Mutilashawn User Info... | One of the major reasons I like Mike Akerfeldt better is because I have a personal vendetta against Peter Tagtren and Hypocrisy. - Wed, 15 Sep 2004 10:53am
Starry_Wisdom User Info... | Really? come on, air it out on the board, I want to hear! Haha - Wed, 15 Sep 2004 8:15pm
Mutilashawn User Info... | Catch fucking 22!!! and other examples of their slow progression towards suck-dom. - Thu, 16 Sep 2004 6:11pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Well obviously you made the connection to the reference, so why ask me anyway? Well other than to show you once again know everything that there is to know about anything. - Sat, 18 Sep 2004 12:28pm
Starry_Wisdom User Info... | Huh? I was asking Mutilashawn what his beef was with Peter Tagtren.. Speaking of which, didn't Tagtren apologize for that album? I swore I read an article that aired his regret for releasing that stinker. I don't know what the other examples are though, I loved The Arrival, thought it was great! - Sat, 18 Sep 2004 8:51pm
