ricky JaK User Info... | EARTHRIDE "Something Wicked" Just when another slab of doom couldn't be done, here comes Earthrides new album. Stripped down understandable tones found right at the end of the neck of the guitar. This isn't the volumetric craps of noise so many bands are executing... this is a drone of doom that works your speakers into tattered and frayed boxes of darkness. Amidst all the vibrations sings a man who uses Draino for mouthwash, Sherman the vocalist is living proof that Lemmy once banged Macho Man Randy Savage. By the second song on this album your head is doing that slow and steady nod like a dashboard dog. This album has a few nostalgic moments that devolve into a hard working climb into the doom world only Earthride can do. As I wait for the new Spirit Caravan or Sabbath album that will never be, Earthride fill the void full. If you have a good sound system and want to watch the windows flex buy this record and turn this shit up! With songs like Hacksaw Eyeball, Destruction Song, Supernatural Illusion, and Grip The Wheel you will be going for a drive at mid-night just for the hell of it. I'm diggin this new album and I'm diggin it loud! -ricky JaK - Thu, 7 Oct 2010 10:11pm Edited: Thu, 7 Oct 2010 10:12pm | ||
