Excavator were the best we'd seen them so far... not really my thing but popular with a distinctive sound... and the guy wasn't clutching his beer this time, haha. last times he held it high along with his mic lemmy-style through the whole set... good job this night, good presence and it seemed like a tighter band.

I've been stretching myself too thin lately and pretty tired at shows so my perspective may be off, but I thought Sinned started off kinda slow. But soon enough I was blown away.. they were excellent like I've seen them before and I dunno, but they seem to have the some of the most active if not brutal (maybe not exactly brutal) pits ever - I don't know where those punks come out from. Did some covers people were hot for and pulled off a perfectly balanced show - friendly enough cuz they're local and playing for their buddies, but serious enough to hold up being some of our best metal. I Really like the concept and actually have a favorite/recognizable song: gore. I had to sit at the back while people brought me cokes cuz I'm lame, but I was stoked. Luckily being an impromptu lineup it wasn't too packed or too empty so it worked out well from back there and I didn't have to miss anything.

Carthage I don't know anything about, but holy crap, how've I missed these guys, I had no idea. Friends were all excited and I could see why, a total treat. A bit of a late start so I had to leave, but they'll be playing again and I'm not going to miss them. - Wed, 9 Jul 2008 12:01am Edited: Wed, 9 Jul 2008 12:02am
