| Wreaker of Havoc User Info... | Just got back from a victorious shindig at our very own Vic High. Good turn out (about 100 kids for us) and some great (and not so great) talent between sets. I cant remember the name of the first band but thier guitarist smoked! Stevie Ray Vaughn covers etc. Pretty impressive. Lythic Blue took the stage with a highly energetic Quicksand/Helmet type of set. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought they would be totally different. They are recording in June I do believe. I look forward to that. Then Gallows End played and we witnessed the only mosh of the afternoon be terminated by the teaching staff on hand. I guess its a highschool after all. Kickback took the stage after some technical difficulties and cranked out a solid set of slow heavy tunes. It was cool to play with them again. All in all a good turn out and alot of fun. | eboner User Info... | man, today was so fun. i love how elliot and matt keep their eyes closed half of the time and aimlessly flail around the stage and always bump into each other. they put on a good show , i have to give them that. and they kick ass anyways. and for gallows end, when do they not rock!!?? they were so good. oh man, we REALLY need to have more of those at school. is it just me or was tajahs booty dance great? come on guys, we all loved it! the first band were good too. i didnt stay for kickback..are they any good? - Wed, 26 Mar 2003 10:58pm | ||

| Kickback User Info... | Rad show i must say. A bunch of technical difficulties but hey it wasn't anything that we couldnt get around. It was a blast playing with Gallows End and Lythic Blue again, those are 2 bands that kick some serious ass. Beats Me was a pretty cool band too, good guitar work. A big BOO!! goes to the music department for being gay and not letting us use mic stands, and another one goes to the guy with the decibel meter who told us to keep it quiet. | Steve-O | Awesome show! personally i thought Kickback should have won with Gallows End beening a very close second (alot of people were saying this after the show too, wonder why they didnt cheer louder?) But i guess all those problems at the beginning of their set put them back a bit with some people. | A Little Bitter | Kickback sound like a mix of black sabbath, down, metallica, and alice in chains. They're really heavy and melodic.. kinda laid back tunes, really into the groove of the songs rather than a catchy part with some shit to paste it all together. You gotta see them next time they're in victoria, they're a must see even if you really aint into hardrock and metal you just might dig them.... Hell they are one of the few bands in victoria that don't suck. Lythic Blue? Jesus christ, have you heard them? Kickback? If there was a generic award they would win. And undergo? I'm a master at it, I'm not proud, it's just a skill I've aquired over the years playing in said shitty local bands. Don't feel bad though - I often fall for it too. Like I did for your posts. But seriously though on one point - saying some band sucks doesn't really take with others if you haven't been in a decent band yourself. You haven't earned the right to diss if you yourself haven't ever done anything at all. Not necessarily a successful band, but one that sounds good. I never slag bands for that one reason. Anyway, truce son - you don't want me to have to paddle your little ass do you? We're all in shitty local bands so we can talk shit about other shittier bands then.
