Bryn User Info... | This show was free for me, thanks to the magic of Lucky's mailing list! Thanks Lucky Bar! I was up for a raging punk show, but not so much. Lots of different music, and not so many familiar faces in the crowd. That's OK, I hardly got to talk to anyone there due to a high volume of cellular traffic from my fan club. Ladyhawke was kind of a quiet, jam band, like fIREHOSE or newer Red Hot Chili Peppers. They were really good players and they played through regular combo amps, so you could really hear everything they were doing. S.T.R.E.E.T.S. were rad as always. They played a really short set. They were putting tons of energy out and not really getting much back from the crowd, so I can see why. They seemed really excited to see Drunkhorse. I skipped seeing Drunkhorse play at a bar in Reno last month cause I was too tired from seeing Motley Crue. My loss. They were pretty damn good. They were kind of like Southern Rock sounding, without sounding super dated or rehashed too much. Good stuff to kick back and have a couple of beers to. All told, good Sunday night, early show, rad tunes, and didn't even miss Trailer Park Boys! - Mon, 25 Apr 2005 6:42pm | ||
