| Ty Stranglehold User Info... | Well, I don't like to review shows I played at, but what the hell. We (The Hoosegow) opened it up and played what felt like a good set. The people who came out early seem to enjoy it. An outside perspective would be cool. The Atomics were next and the were great. Young, Loud, and Snotty. They whipped the growing crowd into a frenzy with solid tunes, hilarious banter/crowd abuse, and covers of the likes of Agent Orange and Misfits. Love to have them back! At this point my lungs started to fill up with fluid(singing with pnuemonina is bad? Who knew?) so I went home. I heard the rest was rad. | punkshmunk | i thought the show was awesome even though i missed hoosegow--that pissed me off--oh well. The sweathogs rocked---they must have been really awesome considering how the sound in that hall makes most bands sound like shit. | Virge | Hey, i thought there would be more reviews by now. Ok, the whole show was fucking great right from the get go. It didn't look like there was going to be much of a crowd at first but the place started to fill up after a bit. Good vibes (fuckin hippie) and all the great energy one would hope for at an all agers. All the bands sounded fab. I was blown away by the Atomics, good old high energy punk rock that kicks you in the balls and leaves you panting for more. I especially liked when the lead singer grabed my friend, wound the mike cord around his neck and drug him down to the ground. fucking awesome. I went out to smoke a number for a bit and come back in to find more people had showed up and AWT just ripping it up. I hadn't realized how good they'd become. People were just standing around though with arms folded, not feeling the flow but it didn't take much to get things back into chaos as usual. Overall a great show. Still haven't seen the BSB but as long as no one dies there will be another day for that. - Sun, 15 Dec 2002 3:32pm | ||

Maybe it was the bands...nah. i thought the $100 bux was a but much for just the use of a p.a., but i changed my mind after i heard it. Good work on your first show Shar & Mel. | Livevic Scott User Info... | Yeah the $100 we figure is a fare charge as its rental of the PA gear plus nev or I doing sound for the night, you might be able to find it cheaper but usually the difference in price will show up in the sound quality of the PA. But thanx for the complements =) i'm glad it sounded ok, its always tough trying to make stuff sound good in that room with a small PA. On a side note if all goes well we should have a bass bin to go with our system as well as another monitor in the new year =) adding another 1300 watts to the system. - Wed, 18 Dec 2002 1:12am | ||
