Sati User Info... | Ok, this show was a week ago, but I suck. Railway was packed pretty early for this one, and Joel played one of the better sets I'd ever seen him do. He's got a ton of fans. The Winks impressed a hella lot of people, from all the comments I heard after. Amy Honey.. wow, I haven't seen her in a looooong while. I remember her from way back when she was this skinny drunk young girl doing a lame job, but I remember being blown away that she kept at it no matter what, and gave it her all at every opportunity. And everyone kept encouraging her cuz (so I hear) she has the absolute sweetest heart. Thats cool. Anyway, its all paid off, cuz WOW this WOMAN has now got a powerful voice and presence going for her. I was not entirely surprised since I've heard so much good stuff about her from so many.. and of course, I know that just professionally in other ways she's accomplished a lot (Red Cat Records etc), so all thats got to result in personal growth.. hence artistic growth. YaY. Look forward to seeing her again, most definately. Unfortunately I missed The Doers (it was their tour kickoff) cuz I had to run over to the Ten miles Wide show, but I got back for the surprise Foster Kare set, which took place cuz the WPP unexpectedly broke up (couple hours before the show, so I ain't buying it - especially since I was excited about seeing them play again!). Anyway, I shouldn't say too much about Foster Kare (yes, used 2b Karen Foster, Assertion) cuz I'm just too damn big a fan and my gushing would be embarassing.. it'll put you off and they don't deserve that. Not to say that they pull off perfection every time.. this not the best set I've seen them do, but when quality is that high, most cannot tell, and it does not even matter. no shit.
