| [+} User Info... | incredible. i'm still getting over this performance. with half a new band and his old tricks, Workman took the stage by himself. Armed with old guitars and a seasoned voice, the songs were almost rewritten since the last time Workman was in victoria. Completely re-embellished, every chord was in it's place as Hawksley Workman worked through old material and new tracks from his controversial album Lover/Fighter. After meeting the man, you can understand the duality within the record and his own life. The band left and came, left and came. Encores followed. Delay provided sexy call-backs from a moaning Workman (asking: can one have sex with oneself?) as the Wolves powered through Tarantulove. Mixing Vaudeville with Rock and Roll the band found itself lost in some songs, bringing the audience into the collective, tasteful noise on stage. After the night was through, everyone left for home. hawksley workman sat down on an old couch, and removed his toque.
