micoll User Info... | thanks, but ebay? i don't know about "ebay" guitars. - Mon, 6 Oct 2003 11:33pm
Mica User Info... | Its not a "Ebay" guitar. Its a new American made Fender Telecaster, which I believe is what you're looking for. The person selling that guitar has sold over 600 items. He has a really high feedback rating and the guitar is new. I have purchased a fair amount of stuff on ebay and I have yet to be dissapointed. You can also mail the seller with any questions you have. - Tue, 7 Oct 2003 8:56am
ticklefish User Info... | I'll vouch for ebay purchases too. If you only buy from people with a large number of transactions, and no negative feedback (or if there is negative feedback, sometimes it is obvious it is just some ungrateful idiot who had no patience). I have bought mics, a mixer, and an amplifier over ebay, and each time I got a helluva deal. Be sure to check out the shipping charges first, and if possible, but from someone in Canada (go through Ebay.ca) to avoid duty charges. - Tue, 7 Oct 2003 10:05am
micoll User Info... | cool. i've just always been sketched about buying gear over ebay- and guitars especially. i wouldn't like to buy a guitar without playing it (some guitars are shitty even if they are "american"). - Tue, 7 Oct 2003 5:57pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | Nah, I wouldn't buy a guitar without playing it...... Especially since I'm such a neck snob..... - Mon, 13 Oct 2003 10:56pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Nice guitar, too bad it's sold. But it's an American made Fender, so why would you need to play it first, when you could go down to L&M's, play one down there and get a better judge on what your buying? - Tue, 14 Oct 2003 2:50am
micoll User Info... | cause it's not like that. - Tue, 14 Oct 2003 7:48pm
ticklefish User Info... | The one thing about buying something like a guitar or amp over ebay for me is that it has to be a great deal, like really good. Because if you don't like it, you can be sure that you can resell it on ebay for the same as you paid, or sometimes even more. When you do a search on ebay check the "completed items" as a search option and you get to see what the same model/make etc has sold for. Something like an American made Tele sell all teh time on ebay, and just watch the prices, sometimes you will see twits pay the same as in-store price for a sight-unseen/never-played instrument. So if you get a good deal, you may well make money on the transaction, or you may end up with a guitar you really like for a great price - Tue, 14 Oct 2003 9:31pm
