| K User Info... | Here's my sales pitch... If you haven't done a lot of recording before, this is a really great system to get started with. Protools is very intuitive, easy to use, and recording through the digi001 sounds fantastic. You can record one track at a time and overlay them; or you can record 8 separate tracks at once (instruments/vocals/drums) and still be able to go in and make changes to any track without touching the others. And if you don't like the changes you can just 'edit undo'. This is one system you won't be limited by - there's so many things you can do with it - there's so much room to grow. It's got a crazy amount of digital hardwear/effects that are just as good if not better than the real thing - as well, it's a great way to learn about all the different effects without making any permanent changes to your tracks.
