moron User Info... | Why by a tired old Moog when you can get a contemporary VA synth capable of the same sounds plus way more stuff with better sound quality, range and longevity? I would suggest that you instead take a look at: Access Virus C / Indigo II Waldforf Q series Novation Supernova series Just about any Moog short of maybe a shitty string machine is going to cost you at least a grand and more likely $2000 and up because of collectability. Any of the current top end VA's will be capable of the same sounds but have the bonus of MIDI, patch storage, excellent sound quality and way more flexible architecture. If you absolutely must have a minimoog, look at the Macbeth mono-synth: http://www.macbethstudiosystems.com Moogs are cool but a Virus or Supernova are waaaaaaaaay cooler. The Virus series being my personal favourite: http://www.access-music.de Fucking awesome to be blunt. IMHO of course. Cheers - Fri, 15 Nov 2002 7:46pm
sootsprite User Info... | I've tried a supernova and i managed to make it get digital hicoughs and artifacts in about 5 minutes which was disappointing because I'd heard so many good things about them. If you can find one to try out, why not look into the new novation k-station. Cheaper than a moog or a supernova and with tons of features for the price. Very small which is ver nice and the 24db/oct filter would give it that moogy sound too, if it is indeed a good analog modeler. - Fri, 29 Nov 2002 5:15am
ROSS B AY User Info... | Are you guys taling about Andy Moog? I think he's retired now, but you can call him and check it out........ - Fri, 29 Nov 2002 3:01pm
