ROSS B AY User Info... | 200 for a 4 track? Are you kidding? No fucking way mang. I could get 6 mexican hookers to dance on my balls for 7 hours for that much. Fuck Gordie or whoever..... - Thu, 20 Mar 2003 6:40am
Anonymous | you could probably finance a 8 track from 700 and a four track from 400 digital. i sold my tape four track five years ago for 200 today its probaly worth 100. go digital. so you don't have to find someone to buy your crappy tape four track like i did. - Thu, 20 Mar 2003 11:20am
Anonymous User Info... | I don't exaclty know shit, but I find that when operating on the level you say you're to operate on, digital machines are pretty useless unless you dump at least 1200 into a decent one that won't give you sass like skipping & shaz, though 1200 could get you a prestine analog recorder, that would probably serve you way better. I find that the digital equipement serves more of a purpous when you've something of a decent midi system to compliment it, or if you've a computer full of software to do things of the likes, otherwise an anal-log machine & some decent mics are all you'll need, especially if you're just recording jams. Analog machines get a lot of flak, when really the outcome of the recording at such a level depends far more upon the mics you use. Cheap analog machines can do a world of good when used properly. Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska was all recorded on an analog 4 track not any fancier than anything you can pick up at the 5&dime for a penny of fuck all, the difference being that he used proper mics to see to a good recording. Sweet Jesus that's a long line of bullshitting. Jo Fancy - Mon, 24 Mar 2003 5:39pm
Anonymous | the above person is an idoit. and has probably never used any recording gear. bruces springsteen , nebraska was recorded over 25 years ago. digital was not an option, and it was still mastered before it was mass produced. the price of digital gear has dropped by half in recent months. and i've been recording on my digital untits for over five years and never once needed midi. - Mon, 24 Mar 2003 10:40pm
