Anonymous | im looking for jam space also whats gamma studios or the other one ? - Tue, 28 Jan 2003 9:48pm
Consider this: | if one was to open up a place, where there were several jam spots (3-8). what would you wanna pay/month for a place? what would you consider necessities? how many bands out there need a place? - Wed, 29 Jan 2003 3:44am
Anonymous | we would pay up to 250 that would by 50/member/month and i think that would be reasonalble. bathrooms would be nice but not nessasary. can two bands share one spot? - Wed, 29 Jan 2003 4:15pm
BBJones User Info... | Could you list a few more possible details that will help in answering your questions? Size of the spaces? Security? General location in the city? Restrictions on play time? Sharing allowed? Parking? Do they need anything like soundproofing between spots? Any other restrictions? - Wed, 29 Jan 2003 4:25pm
Consider this: | Size of the spaces?-approx 15'x15' some smaller some larger Security?- yes ther will be General location in the city?- no farther than 10minutes by car from downtown Restrictions on play time?- not sure yet. it is in a industial area Sharing allowed?- if you trust others with your stuff and your security code, and take responsibilty for others than sure why not.(but all members of the band will be on the rental agreement. Parking?-on the steet Do they need anything like soundproofing between spots?-the walls would be insulated but would still require some sound prooffing, depends if your neighbor is there at the time. Any other restrictions?- it would be a no smoking building cause of local bylaw, this includes joints and insence. i'll smoke joints with you outside. damage deposit rent will be required same as rent around 225-275, depends on acutual size of the spot you rent. - Wed, 29 Jan 2003 4:32pm
FANG | tonnes of bands need a space!!!... trust me, if you do it right it will be successful...24 hr access, secure - Wed, 29 Jan 2003 5:14pm
BBJones User Info... | Sounds like a decently thought out setup. I would think if you only had 5-8 spots they would all be taken in no time as soon as people know about them. - Wed, 29 Jan 2003 5:26pm
punque de la racha | The meatlockers were like $350 mnth for 350 sq ft. with 24/7 access. - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 5:15pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | $350? Holy shit that's steep....... - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 6:49pm
no it's not | 350 per month for secure, heated rehearsal spot? What do you expect, free? Remember, some people pay that just for storage. If you have 4 or 5 members in your band, it's not that bad. - Sat, 1 Feb 2003 12:53pm
thunder d logan User Info... | could bands share a spotif cleared between the two? and were exactly is this space? - Sat, 1 Feb 2003 4:55pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | I've never, ever paid more than 20 dollars each per month for a secured, warm decent jam spot in this town. You're not looking hard enough, or you don't know anyone. - Sat, 1 Feb 2003 5:38pm
Consider this: | its all still in the works. at this point, jam times will be after 6pm, multiple bands can share but every single person must be on the rental agreement. just to point out that the meatlockers did not have a security system, and were a firetrap. we receives we received electrical shocks of every thing we plugged in. o ya it stunk like dead pigs in there to. - Sun, 2 Feb 2003 4:02pm
Anonymous | hey ross bay can we all come rent were you are renting. WOW $20 per month for a jam spot. what luxuries do you have. does your mom come into garage with ricecrispy squares for you and the girls. does your dad park his '78 fury II out side so the kids can play 'kiss world tour' - Sun, 2 Feb 2003 4:07pm
