axe User Info... | Anyone have any suggestions of where to get posters/flyers printed for an upcoming gig? Cheapest in town? Advice and suggestions? Cheers. - Tue, 27 Jan 2009 2:42pm
Mike S. User Info... | I think most people just go with metropole and get them to put them up too. - Wed, 28 Jan 2009 8:29am
axe User Info... | Thanks for the advice. Are there any suggestions for the equivalent in Vancouver rather than Victoria? Cheers. - Wed, 28 Jan 2009 9:14am
Wheate User Info... | Hello, Andy from Metropol here. As far as I know the poles in Vancouver are run independently, meaning that each club or venue has their own method of distribution. There is city postering at http://www.citypostering.com but I don't really think they cater as much to smaller campaigns as we do. We get asked very often this same question and unfortunately there isn't a Metropol in Vancouver....yet. But if you are looking for posters (11x17) printed we have super competitive rates that can be viwed in pdf form at http://www.imetropol.com. Good luck with the show. - Wed, 28 Jan 2009 9:23am
Sati User Info... | I've gone to Budget on Clark. Dirt cheap. Oh, and as far as people to poster for you, I believe we just set up a section for that in the Resources section. - Wed, 28 Jan 2009 9:30am Edited: Wed, 28 Jan 2009 9:32am
Mike S. User Info... | i saw an ad in the recent Absolute Underground for a guy in Vancouver doing it for 25cents per. - Sat, 31 Jan 2009 10:30am
DAnnyp User Info... | Victoria is messed up. if you dont poster on the metropol poles downtown you will be fined by the city of victoria. I made the mistake of printing out posters and trying to poster myself. big mistake. if you dont poster downtown you get fined. and if you poster on metropol they get ripped down by there daily poster ers. The word monopoly comes to mind. I wish victoria was easier on Musicians. - Sat, 31 Jan 2009 11:01am
Wheate User Info... | Hey Danny, if you ever want to come in and chat about our Monopoly, I would be glad to answer any questions you may have. And if you think that giving fair and equal distribution to ALL events on poles is a bad thing we would welcome any suggestions or improvements you think may help. Oh and we never rip down posters, the city does every Monday morning. - Sat, 31 Jan 2009 2:06pm
Dannyp User Info... | my only beef is with the city of victoria. i just wish i was more informed because i would of used metropol rather then postered myself and get fined. Lesson learned. - Sat, 31 Jan 2009 3:57pm
Sati User Info... | The AU ad is Josh's, and I think thats about the rate they all charge for postering in Vancouver. - Wed, 4 Feb 2009 10:24am
