ska-t User Info... | It is with the greatest sadness that I must report the passing of T-Paul Ste Marie. He died at home Thursday, May 31, 2007. Plans for a wake and funeral arrangements will be announced as they are planned. He will be deeply, deeply missed. http://www.myspace.com/t_paul - Mon, 4 Jun 2007 2:59pm
ska-t User Info... | I have been hearing that there is something tonight(monday) at Cafe du Soleil at 8:00 - does anyone know if this is T. Paul's wake? Lots of people are asking me and I don't know what to tell them. - Mon, 4 Jun 2007 3:01pm
ska-t User Info... | Dear friends; Considering that many of us are writers orstorytellers, I think it would be appropriate if wecompiled a collection of stories and memories about T.Paul Ste-Marie to give to his mom. If everyone who has a fond or funny memory or two of T. Paul would please take a moment to write aparagraph or more (pages would be great!) about him, Iwould be overjoyed. Talk about how he inspired you towrite or create art, that funny conversation youshared with him, or that flirtatious crush you had.Did he stand up for you in an argument, encourage youto get onstage, work with you on a project? Don't worry about editing or polishing -- just pleasekeep it positive, and avoid trendy shorthand (eg. LOL,IMHO) as his mom is of an older generation. Please send your memories/stories to [email protected] no later than noon on Saturday,June 9, and please specify if you would like to remainanonymous. I'll save all these stories to Word, print them out, bind the pages simply, and give the book to his mom atthe wake on Sunday. I am hoping for at least a dozen responses to this. Ahundred or more would be fantastic. Please forward this email to anyone whose life wastouched by T. Paul. Thank you,Susan Cormier - Thu, 7 Jun 2007 6:32am
Sati User Info... | I just want to offer my condolences. I'd met T-Paul on several occasions but I can't say I ever knew him. My heart went out to he & his friends though, since from what I could tell he was struggling quite a bit healthwise in recent months. T-Paul was one of the very first people to offer his support when this site first began, and we were incredibly proud to have received his stamp of approval. It seemed like to him it was nothing, but to us it was HUGE! People like that just get up and do what they do, probably not even realizing how many "strangers" out there are being influenced and the extent to which we're appreciating their day to day contributions. I really hope there's an art show or some sort of grand-scale publication put out to remind people who didn't know about his talents why he's been such an important force around here. - Mon, 11 Jun 2007 11:27am Edited: Mon, 11 Jun 2007 11:31am
