| The Box Drone User Info... |  My Pender Island based band (recording project is more like it I guess) The Quail just finished our second album... Recorded at home with Audition & arranged in FL studio (of all programs!), we used alot of instruments on ths album... guitar, bass, melodica, accordian, organ, dulcimer, xylaphone, etc. The beats are all sequenced out of organic samples we recorded ourselves & in fact every sound you hear on this record (except for a couple of sounds in 'November') is an organic sample we recorded ourselves... birds, waves, the sound of brick scraping against cement & so on... A friend referred to our sound as "Euphoric Desolation" which I thought was pretty apt. The album has a very wintery/autumny sort of melancholy sound to it.
