The FLY ON THE WALL User Info... | heard the demo, your recordings sound terrible. We live in a world where you can record and album on your laptop and this is the best you can do. I don't care how antiestablishment you are this is sad. I don't even think griph could run them through his magic atari and save them. - Mon, 8 Jan 2007 8:47am Edited: Mon, 8 Jan 2007 8:51am

Bryan User Info... | I've heard stuff that sounds a lot worse than us get really acclaimed. I'll admit that the sound quality of our recordings isn't great, but if you listen to our actual demo you'll find that you can distinguish the instruments and hear all the melodies without ear-grating static drowning everything out... compare our sound to something like Mayhem's Deathcrush EP (which literally started the black metal movement and is probably one of the most influential metal releases ever) and we're definitely not any worse sounding. Maybe you could argue that Mayhem's EP was released in the late 80s and increased recording technology should have permitted us some kind of an advance, but there are modern bands who exemplify this as well. Check out a band like France's Vlad Tepes, who have one of the biggest cult followings in all of underground metal, or Hate Forest who are an acclaimed Ukranian band with a sizeable following and several officially released albums, and I would say that our sound is probably quite a bit better than some of the stuff they've released to various degrees of acclaim. Or for an example of a somewhat more noteworthy band, I'd say our demo sounds better than the first Carcass demo... and last I checked Carcass have been pretty influential during the span of their existence. Not that I'm trying to compare us to any of the above bands or say we're as good as they are, I'm just pointing out that this is our first recording and if you really get some kind of satisfaction out of ripping on us for it not sounding professionally done then congratulations. - Mon, 8 Jan 2007 6:58pm Edited: Mon, 8 Jan 2007 7:00pm
