DTjackson User Info... | Hey, You may or may not like Thom Yorke of Radiohead. I am a big fan of Radiohead and I like his solo work. But among these year we've had Radiohead output and then Thom Yorke output. More Thom Yorke releases than Radiohead, on a whole. Now he has a new band with Flea, Nigel Godrich, Beck's drummer and a brazilian multi-instrumentalist. So, there has been a lot of Thom Yorke going on. Now, I just heard his track for Twilight last night and it's like he's just releasing whatever he finishes now. It kind of takes away from the sanctity of Radiohead. I like to think of the band meticulously working away to make each song as perfect as possible but if you are now just releasing everything to the powers of the internet, it kind of loses steam, don't you think? Sorry if I rambled. Just want to know what others think. - Mon, 12 Oct 2009 9:11pm
DTjackson User Info... | There are no radiohead fans out there? Or nobody that has heard Thom Yorke sing? Well, I was thinking this on the way home from Logan's...Hollow Earth wouldn't even make it as a Radiohead b-side. It's not a bad song but, come on. - Tue, 27 Oct 2009 12:20am
tristan pratt User Info... | Thom and jonny can do just about anything and turn it into genius. it does make it seem a little less special when thom is in everything. i know what youre saying. hes like t pain. disk 2 of in rainbows is fucking awesome. i just realized there was a disk 2. - Fri, 27 Nov 2009 7:47pm Edited: Fri, 27 Nov 2009 7:47pm
DTjackson User Info... | Hahaha, Tristan. I got you into Radiohead. I lent you all my cds in high school. :P Yes, I will not debate that Radiohead are a cohesive unit. That Thom and Jonny have great chemistry. Just we have had the privledge of hearing: Harry Patch These Are My Twisted Words Hollow Earth Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses and Hearing Damage Are they any good? Well, they aren't bad by any stretch. I've always liked Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses when it was in it's early phases on the Hail to the Theif tour when it was the original Reckoner but I still believe in the idea of an "album". I can wait. I'm a big boy. I want to wait for the finished product that they really believe in instead of just "this is done, take a listen". But I suppose that's how the industry is nowadays. I found Disk 2 of In Rainbows good too but very incomplete. Some of the songs seemed like they didn't really go the distance on them. Like Last Flowers, it sounds like they started working on it...but kinda swept it under the carpet but released it anyway. The good thing is that the songwriting is strong. All in all, as far as b-sides go. Airbag EP. Totally - Fri, 27 Nov 2009 9:05pm
