| Need Music | I was wondering if some musicians could get together and create an original rock/alternative/NotTop40 band. Victoria really needs a decent rock/alternative/NotTop40 band. I am not a musician (well much of one) and it would be great to hear a victoria band that is NOT trying to be nickleback. | Ryan User Info... | I would have to agree!The music industry is so saturated with the same old stuff!!I myself,am a drummer and would like to put somethiing together that isn't top 40.Try finding a bass player though in this town.Everyone plays guitar,but not the bass.What is it with this town that says bands have to sound like Blink 182,or any other of the so called punk bands out there!I myself would love to put together a large 10 piece band you know with horns and the like.I have only been playing music for the last 2 years,and don't know that much but I think that it is time for some change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Sat, 14 Dec 2002 1:53pm | ||
| MB | My brother Howard is an excellent bass player, and he was in a heavier alternative/rock band for a few years. He has since left and moved on to Gallow's End. As much as I liked his old band, Gallow's fucking rule and if you've seen them, well you know. But I know of a few very talented guitar players and drum players that want to get into something along this line. ... hey your right, I don't know any really good bass players who are not in a band and want to play something besides punk. - Sat, 14 Dec 2002 3:03pm | ||
