CL User Info... | I think it has to be laid at the feet of management - which of course will be up on a fuckin' desk! Am I right? Huh!? Am I right?!? - Wed, 1 Apr 2009 8:16pm
laprider User Info... | Hey trevor corey, Stans not old age, he's vintage like an old guitar, the other 2 guys are his personal assistants. The bartenders ther eare NEVER grumpy, especially Brendan, he is my ray of sunshine...sometimes he's just sad, he misses his teddy bear. CL I couldn't agree more...something has to happen with that damn managment there. I once peeked in the office, I saw one of those wind up tin monkeys signing paycheques. Mostly that asshole that does the Monday night open mic has got to go, freekin Lil' Wayne wannabe! WE all know the truth Logans is just a cover to cash Welfare cheques at a 20% fee and those seniors are really male escorts! Damn that Tavern of the Damned!!!!!! - Wed, 1 Apr 2009 8:28pm
Mike S. User Info... | Stan is uber! Best foreman I ever had back in my construction days. he can smoke and oz of kush and still build a whole house in like, one day. And he likes beemers. hah! - Wed, 1 Apr 2009 9:58pm

Mike S. User Info... | Oh yeah, is that what you would do? personally always have a blast at Logans and their food aint half bad either. - Wed, 1 Apr 2009 10:14pm Edited: Wed, 1 Apr 2009 10:15pm
trevor corey User Info... | Ok, ok, but who was the tough guy in the red mac jacket? I think this thread should be about how old and sticky the "carpets" are in Sugar. - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 12:42am Edited: Thu, 2 Apr 2009 1:13am
Jl User Info... | the carpets in sugar have been perpetually sticky for the past decade... its gross. (doesn't help that the venue is so infrequently used; therefore people/clean up crews can be lazy and wait for the day before the next show etc..) as for logan's... i like the place, though its not a place that I frequent. I think the drink prices are a little high(but its a small place... what would you expect running a biz?!?); the food is not good, to put it politely. The last time I ate there, was probably the last time I was in there(2yrs ago i think), and it took 45 minutes to get a chicken burger that was burnt, the bun was crusty(in the bad way), the lettuce in the burger was browning, on top of the other ingredients which were, for a lack of better words, disgusting to look at, the fries had no seasoning no taste(they were pretty much the plainest fries i've ever tasted and seen), all for 11$? I could've gone to McD's down the road for(at the time) better quality... to say the least; a burger should be childs play in ANY kitchen. Hopfully since my endevour there; the staffing has changed and the kitchen is a little cleaner than it used to be... if not, then I hope the bar sales are so outstanding that nobody orders ANY food. That is my absolute only gripe about logans... aside from that; they host a variety of shows which is a huuuuge benefit to our music scene, especially with venues opening and closing like a revolving door. I hope you guys dont think Im trashing the place over the food; because I've had great times in that place and hope that others get the chance to, as well... but in all honesty its hard for a pub like that to have 5-star chef's come in and whip things into shape... but at least show a little pride in your work. - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 12:16pm
CL User Info... | Hey JL - Dang! It sounds like you got a shit deal there. Did you complain at the time? I understand if you didn't, because I often don't, either, when I'm out. We have a completely different crew and a new menu (I think! not being exactly sure when you last ate here.) Send a message to getchrislogan AT gmail DOT com and I'll set you up with a gift certificate to try our food again - I'm confident you just hit us on a bad day! - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 12:58pm
BBJones User Info... | I'll vouch for the food at Logan's these days. Awesome burgers and other fare. Definitely has improved a lot since the Bison burger-tortilla chip days. A lot! - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 1:03pm
trevor corey User Info... | got a veggies burg? Hocknight in can this sat before LeftSpineDown? - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 2:05pm Edited: Thu, 2 Apr 2009 2:06pm
Jl User Info... | Hey thanks, CL... Im sure it was just bad timing too; and no, I did not complain... such things, in my opinion, should go without saying. Its good to hear things have moved forward since then; and I would always be willing(with or without a gift. cert.) to try it out again. Like I said, I love the place; but the kitchen (at that time) was horrid... and as for the comments about it being dirty... you obveously hadn't seen the place before it was reno'd; back in the "thursdays" days... THAT was a grungy bar lol. - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 2:37pm
Rubber Box User Info... | I will also vouch for Logans food. Its become the norm to eat there before playing a show. - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 3:13pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | The only complaint I have about Logan's food is that I order something (usually the beef dip) and it's so good that I clean my plate and get too full before having to do a set. - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 3:59pm
laprider User Info... | ah the old Beef Dip crash, I know the one! Logans food is great, I eat there every Monday. personally I find the mixed odor of Logans regulars and cooking Poutine to be somewhat of an aphrodisiac to me? I hope everyone gets the first posts here were complete sarcasm, ah look who posted it. Logans is great, it's your classic small semi alternative live pub/bar. We are lucky to have it, it's pretty much all we have right now. In the fair city of Vic opening a club is no fair feet, trust me I know! Yes we need some more rooms, but all in all we have some decent venues. - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 5:18pm
trevor corey User Info... | So, dinner, HNIC, then Left Spine Down? Can't get any better. - Thu, 2 Apr 2009 5:38pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | The Logan's vibe is ten trillion times "comfy-er" than the Lucky vibe. - Fri, 3 Apr 2009 11:18pm
