Krch! User Info... | hey i'm not really computer literate...i just got a comp and was wondering what would be a good affordable/decent sounding way to record guitar onto my computer...do i need a direct box? i'm stumped. i'd appreciate some help...thanks - Tue, 7 Oct 2003 10:02pm
Gray User Info... | I'd look at getting some mutli track recording software. That is what I use. I'm far from a computer ninja. I don't do loops and stuff with computers so for me having a giant 4-track on my comp is the way to go. I'm not sure that I would recomned the software I am using. It is called Music Center Pro, and you can multi track rocord up to 16 audio tracks and then mix down. YOu can't record more than one track at a time. This works ok for me cuse I'm a solo artist and I can't really play more than one instrmaent at a time anyway. .... Hope that helps a little bit. I'm sure some of the more expericend studio people have more to say. I can however say that it's allot cheaper to record on your own PC than to buy a 16 or 32 track sytem and a bunch of mics and FX boxes... - Thu, 9 Oct 2003 4:34pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Yes, but the only way to record a live source is to pick up a 4 track mixer then run the line out to the line in on the soundcard. I recommend CuBase for the PC. - Sat, 11 Oct 2003 10:42am
