| The Professor User Info... | Greetings, I'm setting up an 'audio' section on the site that takes advantage of the fact that there are hundreds of audio files linked up in our database. I'll explain more about it when its up but for now I just get some opinions The deal is, most of the files we've got linked up are mp3s. I've got things working so that any mp3 located anywhere can basially be streamed. This will only work for people on fast connections though. Occasionally some files are also available in realaudio format. I can't stand realaudio and I'd like to just not be involved with it at all. However, If I stop allowing realaudio files to be linked it may stop some people on slow connections form being able to stream some files. I have no idea how many people are on slow connections and are using realaudio. Your thoughts please. - Thu, 21 Aug 2003 7:54pm | ||
| Shaggy User Info... | Depending on what you're using to stream the MP3's, you can limit the bandwidth used so dialup users won't have a problem. Just create a broadband link and dialup link. - Thu, 21 Aug 2003 9:29pm | ||
