Also, by your rational, we should support Canadians as a result of the actions of our government. This statement underlies the idiocy of your whole plan: citizens should not be held accountable for their governments. Boycotting all American products and unilaterally endorsing all Canadian products follows the same logic that states that the Iraqi people should be held accountable for their leader. America is not evil, their government is evil. Canada is not good (the treatment of Indigenous peoples would be a big tip-off).
