The Early Music Society of the Islands presents: Nigel North (lute) and Alan Bennett (tenor): The Willow Song: Songs of Mirth and Melancholy from Shakespeare 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 12th, 2003; $18 regular, $17 seniors, $10 students, $16 EMSI members St. Andrew's: Douglas and Broughton Nigel North, perhaps the most distinguished lutenist of our time, and the exciting American tenor, Alan Bennett, join forces for a programme of Shakespeare's music, including settings of his verse and theatre songs by Thomas Morley, Robert Johnson, John Dowland, Matthew Locke, John Wilson and Henry Purcell.
