Nigel North, perhaps the most distinguished lutenist of our time, and the exciting American tenor, Alan Bennett, join forces for a programme of Shakespeare's music, including settings of his verse and theatre songs by Thomas Morley, Robert Johnson, John Dowland, Matthew Locke, John Wilson
and Henry Purcell. Also featured are popular ballads from Shakespeare's England, both in their orginal song settings and in settings for the lute (Including Greensleeves, The WIllow Song, Bonny Sweet Robin, and Fortune my Foe.) - Wed, 19 Feb 2003 7:31pm
