so im betting a few people around here have heard of the new HHO technology...that creates that new gas that burns through anything, and runs off water. Id like to hear some comments cause im pretty pumped for this, seeing how it will change everything - Sat, 20 May 2006 12:20am

Yeah, I saw a news clip about it. It seems too good to be true, driving a Ford Escort 100 miles on FOUR OUNCES of water?! That's incredible. If it does work, and is reasonably affordable, this could change the world. - Sat, 20 May 2006 7:28am

call me a cynic, but I really can't see OPEC bowing down to this new technology and giving up any market foothold. I just can't see it happening. I don't doubt for a second that it works. Its frustrating that for 100s of years various gas saving technologies have come forth all to be ignored.
Humanity has the brains to come up with some pretty amazing things but when it comes to saving our own hides we can't put our best intentions to work. - Sat, 20 May 2006 9:28am

yeah its reall sad, but its all because the people who control what happends to the technologies wont be around when the world needs a change, and they dont want to loose their billion dollar oil company. - Sat, 20 May 2006 10:16am

Yep. Here's an idea, and one which is not new and is in fact enshrined in many constitutions:

Inventions and works of creative nature are ultimatley open to the betterment of humanity. Only within the last century have patents, copyrights and other intellectual property rights been completely hijacked by government/business. These new laws restrict freedoms further than anyone suspects

Its ironic that laws which specifically existed to protect one thing very quickly became ammunition for an opposite purpose.

That irony seems to be one of the constants operating on this planet in recent times.
