_Griphin_ User Info... | http://www.timescolonist.com When they first went online, you could only see some of the stories, but if you had a subscription you could see the full stories. Now, it appears to be free online (full stories). It's funny, I've been bugging them before they went online that papers like New York Times were online and they weren't so when were they planning to go online. Eventually they did just that. Now I wonder when they'll have an option where you can view past articles from the newspaper online in .PDF format? This way you could search in a database and the article you were looking for you could view online. - Sun, 19 Feb 2006 1:42pm
lonemonk User Info... | Is the writing as terrible as it is in the paper edition? It's rhetorical actually, because I've been to the on-line one. Newpapers are in a bind because subscriptions are down overall which is where the real advertising money is, and they feel pressured to have a good web-site and half-decent information, but if they do it too well, more people may cancel their subscriptions and get it entirely on-line. Even though I'm a geek by day, I am still old fashioned enough to enjoy real papers. I just wish this city had something worth reading. . . - Mon, 20 Feb 2006 3:36pm
