Elvis User Info... | Anyone have any thoughts on what the best Sequencer software is? I'm looking for something with the following requirements: - Runs on Windows - Allows output of a separate click track to someone's headphones (with sequenced tracks (horns, keys, strings)going to main system/PA) - Ideally less than $500 - In a perfect world, it is big enough that people are sharing their tracks online so if we wanted to add a song, we just need to download the sequence and its ready to go Thanks in advance. - Fri, 9 Dec 2005 12:47pm
mactac User Info... | do you actually mean sequencing software (which is used to control synths & softsynths), or are you looking for multitrack recording software? could you explain this pls: "In a perfect world, it is big enough that people are sharing their tracks online so if we wanted to add a song, we just need to download the sequence and its ready to go" i'm not sure what you mean. - Fri, 9 Dec 2005 3:57pm
Elvis User Info... | I kind of figured it out myself. I've been messing with Sonar and did a search for midi files and found every track I was looking for. Very promising. The trick now is working in a click track only the band hears. The simple way it seems would be to record to tape, MP3, or something and pan the accompanying tracks to one side and pan click track to the other so only I hear it (the drummer). Anyways, hope that helps describe what I'm after. Sonar sure seems overkill and extra complicated for what I require but as I have it, maybe I should just stick with it - Fri, 9 Dec 2005 5:39pm
