About

Fragile Mind

since circa 2007
We are looking for a Professional Bassist. First off we must say, we want to do this for a career and therefore are looking for a like-minded person that shares this vision with us. We are hoping to find a people who have abilities/knowledge in more than one area of music that can contribute to songwriting/arranging. Professional in your dealings, dependable and reliable. And solid harmony/backing vocals are definately a huge asset. The bassist we are seeking should have a great knowledge of music and be able/willing to contribute to songwriting/arranging. Ideally they would be able to sing harmony/backing vocals. We would like to find a 5-string bass player but will consider anything if you're good. The reason for wanting a 5-string player is that we sometimes play with 7-string and baritone guitars, as well as drop-tunings. Age is only a number in our experience, and talent and drive/ambition will shine over age but we hope to find someone between the ages of 19-35 old enough to play bar gigs but young enough to handle the rigors of the road. We are serious musicians who take pride in developing great songs and an unforgetable live performance that will leave people wanting more. Our goal is to secure a Record Deal. We have the contacts and the material to make this happen but we need a Bassist to complete our lineup. If this sounds like something you want then please don't hesitate to contact us, we would love to hear from you. Some influences of ours are: Nirvana, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Stone Sour, Alter Bridge, Metallica, Staind, Three Days Grace, Joe Satriani, Black Sabbath, Steve Vai, STP, Pearl Jam, 3 Doors Down, Incubus, The Kings of Leon, and many many many more...Please note, we are not trying to be anyone else and draw on these many influences for inspiration to write our own material. We strive to put our own spin on things and keep it exciting and fresh.

A little about us...Andrew Spark (Vocals/Guitar) has had many years experience in many bands. He has developed his 'Signature Sound' over the years and at 29 is writing the material that he has always wanted to write. Powerful vocals and great songwriting talent round out our frontman.

Albert Zeleniski (Lead Guitar) Has been playing for more than 20 years. When he met Spark 2 years ago, they knew they had a connection and began writing songs together. Spark travelled Europe for more than a year and upon his return, the two got right back to writing and getting serious about their music and putting a great project together.

David Krull aka D.M.D. (Drums) Has been playing for many years and has perfected his craft. He formerly played for local band Meatlocker Seven toured cross-Canada and curreently plays in 2 other projects - Gorilla Monsoon and Regular People. He is influenced by many styles of music and is the newest addition to Fragile Mind.
