Foo Fighters
The Foo Fighters have always been capable of both balls-out aggression and lady-killing melodic tendencies, and nowhere is this more apparent than on In Your Honor. For their fifth album in a decade, frontman Dave Grohl and company decided to split the difference by ignoring the middle ground and recording a double-disc—one CD is the heaviest, most ass-kicking record the band has yet produced, while the other is full of beautiful, acoustic-based tunes with guests like Norah Jones and Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.
Now, to honour their more melodic, softer side, the Foo Fighters are embarking on a special acoustic show that will highlight the mellow half of In Your Honor and songs from past albums like The Color and the Shape. Everyone who has seen the band live knows what a devastating act they are when they crank up their guitars; now comes a rare chance to see a different, but no less awesome side of the Foo Fighters.
