I met Dave in the mid-80s. He was friends with our drummer of the time, Roger L'Huillier, and visited a couple of times. A jovial fellow and a good drummer, he was easy to like and played around town in a number of bands and styles. Dave Harris
"Dave was a solid beat centered timekeeper and played a variety of styles - one of his first gigs was at the Jokers Club with Reggie Wood and Mark Stadnyk , he had recently bought a 24 inch bass drum which barely fit in the door of his Fiat - other bands Dave played in include Mr. Puffy with Joyce Allenson (Top 40) and Reload with Terry Murray, great traditional band with Ron Rugg, Sherman Sheldon and Orville Henry on steel guitar.
Later he ran a Jam Night at Fridays bar on Quadra with Dan LaMer and Larry Labrecque."
I alsoremember that Dave played in Sequoia with B.J. Garrison. I remember Mr Puffy too, my buddy Jeremy Rogers was also in that band and I saw them a couple times at The Fernwood Inn. Ron Kidd
"Elmore's Bar and Grill was honoured to have played with Dave Kidd off and on for a few years. Even though he wasn’t a shuffle drummer per se, he was rock steady and creative. He really worked on his shuffle beat and moved out of his comfort zone. He was easy to play with and was a great team player.
RIP Dave…. You are missed." Sharon Wadsworth
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
