My journey into woodworking began in an unexpected way. I used to be a Red Seal Electrician, but in 2019, I took a leap of faith and left my hometown of Coquitlam, BC, for Italy. Little did I know that this adventure would change my life. While facing the challenges of a global lockdown in 2020, I found inspiration in a centuries-old horse stable in Valtellina, Italy. Armed with just a few hand tools, I started crafting small wooden boxes and trinkets, discovering a newfound passion for woodworking.
This passion led me to Victoria, BC, where I joined the Fine Furniture Program at Camosun College to sharpen my skills. During my time there, I was honoured to receive the Pat Lintaman Award for Design.
Now, I'm the proud owner of The Stables Woodshop, a small studio in Victoria. Here, I create made-to-order fine furniture, each piece meticulously designed and crafted by me. My work combines timeless elegance with contemporary design, blending traditional techniques with a modern touch.
I also offer custom furniture design and creation, and I'm open to working with interior designers to create custom projects that are tailored to your unique style and needs. Together, we can turn your ideas into one-of-a-kind pieces that elevate your living spaces.
At The Stables Woodshop, craftsmanship meets artistry, and every piece I create tells a unique story of passion and dedication.
Thank you for considering The Stables Woodshop for your furniture needs, and I look forward to the possibility of working together.
